Mintel is hiring an Account Executive for their Inside Sales team in Chicago. You'll be responsible for managing the full sales cycle and utilizing tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to connect with potential clients. This role requires at least 1 year of sales or client experience.
You have at least 1 year of professional sales or client experience, or a strong sales internship that has prepared you for this role. You possess the drive and resilience to succeed in a competitive environment, and you are eager to build rapport with businesses across the United States. You are comfortable utilizing technology, particularly LinkedIn Sales Navigator, to identify and engage key decision-makers in various industries. You have a strong understanding of the sales process and are committed to maintaining accurate records of your activities in Salesforce.
Experience in the Beauty, Food and Beverage, or Home and Personal Care sectors is a plus, as it will help you better understand the needs of your clients. Familiarity with conducting product demos and showcasing the value of reports will set you apart. You are a creative thinker, always looking for new strategies to enhance your prospecting and communication efforts.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. You will be responsible for selling Mintel’s core product—syndicated reports—by demonstrating their value to prospective clients. You will conduct product demos and maintain accurate records of all sales development activities in Salesforce. Meeting activity metrics and sales goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis will be crucial to your success. You will also attend bi-weekly company-wide sales up-skilling sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
You will work closely with manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, understanding their specific consumer insights needs and providing them with relevant data from Mintel's reports. Staying current on industry trends and competitors’ product offerings will be essential in positioning Mintel as a leader in the market. You will creatively think of new prospecting and communication strategies to engage potential clients effectively.
