Your experience includes working with cloud infrastructure and understanding the complexities of networking hardware and software-defined networking (SDN). You are familiar with enterprise network functions such as firewalls, load balancing, and intrusion detection systems, and you have a passion for advancing cloud networking solutions.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and can navigate the challenges of scaling infrastructure to support a wide range of services. Experience with Azure services and a deep understanding of networking protocols will set you apart. As a Software Engineer II on the Azure Networking team, you will play a crucial role in defining and controlling network behavior for cloud workloads. You will be responsible for delivering enterprise network functions, including access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Your work will involve implementing these capabilities in software as a virtual network overlay on a high-speed physical fabric.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the networking solutions you develop meet the needs of Microsoft’s extensive customer base. This includes working on hybrid connectivity solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud environments. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of security measures to protect virtual machines from various threats.
Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends, allowing you to bring innovative solutions to the team. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development process. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team.
