Amazon is hiring a Facility Engineer for their DCEO team in Tokyo to maintain and operate data center facilities. You'll work with AWS technologies to ensure the reliability of power and cooling systems. This position is suitable for entry-level candidates with a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
You have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with at least one year of relevant experience in facilities, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, control systems, or related equipment. You are eager to learn and grow in the data center industry, and you are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and reliability in your work. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are willing to take on challenges to ensure the continuous operation of cloud computing services.
As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center. You will respond to equipment failures to minimize customer downtime and investigate and resolve technical issues related to equipment failures, maintenance, and expansions. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that cloud computing services remain operational 24/7, moving between various areas of the data center, including offices, server rooms, and mechanical and electrical rooms. You will monitor and control the equipment within the data center, plan maintenance activities to ensure safety and efficiency, and manage vendors providing maintenance services. You will also collaborate with teams responsible for the installation and removal of servers and hardware equipment, as well as other parts and consumables.
