Overview

Tanium is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to help large organizations achieve visibility and control over complex environments. You'll work closely with sales and customer success teams to deliver technical solutions and conduct platform demos. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

Who you are

You have a strong background in solution engineering, with a knack for understanding customer needs and translating them into effective technical solutions. Your experience includes engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring that you can communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales and customer success teams to drive customer satisfaction and success. Your ability to lead technical discussions and provide insightful demonstrations makes you a valuable asset in the pre-sales process.

You are comfortable conducting deep-dive technical discussions with stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite executives to technical users. Your analytical skills allow you to assess customer technology and architecture, identifying opportunities for improvement and positioning Tanium's solutions effectively. You are proactive in your approach, always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience and streamline the sales process.

Desirable

Experience in enterprise software solutions or cybersecurity is a plus, as is familiarity with the sales cycle and pre-sales activities. You may have a background in IT operations or security, which helps you understand the challenges faced by customers in complex environments. A passion for technology and a desire to help organizations succeed are essential traits that drive your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work directly with Tanium's sales team, participating in initial discovery meetings with customers to understand their needs and challenges. You will provide platform demonstrations and lead technical Proof of Value engagements, showcasing how Tanium's solutions can address specific customer requirements. Your role will involve translating customer business challenges into tailored technical solutions, ensuring that Tanium is positioned as a trusted partner in their journey.

You will oversee the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle, collaborating with sales and customer success teams to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates. Your ability to engage with customers and provide insightful technical guidance will be crucial in building strong relationships and driving successful outcomes. You will also be responsible for developing and presenting comprehensive solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring that they see the value in Tanium's offerings.
