Amazon is hiring a Data Center Technician to maintain and support AWS global infrastructure. You'll perform hardware and network diagnostics and repairs. This position requires a strong understanding of data center operations.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in technology and data center operations. You have experience or a foundational understanding of hardware and network diagnostics, and you are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure the highest standards of safety and security in data center operations. You are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and are ready to tackle challenges head-on.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, is a plus. Familiarity with physical repair processes and troubleshooting techniques will help you excel in this role. You are adaptable and open to learning new skills as technology evolves, and you are committed to maintaining the integrity of the systems you support.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the heartbeat of AWS's global cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repairs to ensure seamless data center operations. You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers, to deliver the highest standards of service. You will be involved in troubleshooting issues that arise within the data center and will work to resolve them efficiently to minimize downtime.

You will also participate in an on-call rotation, which will require you to be available to address urgent issues as they arise. Your role will involve monitoring systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning optimally, and you will be responsible for documenting any repairs or maintenance performed. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing the overall performance of the data center.
