Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Core Identity team to enhance authentication and authorization processes. You'll work with the Auth0 platform to ensure secure access for millions of users. This role requires expertise in identity management and a passion for building secure applications.
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building secure and scalable applications. Your expertise in identity management and authentication protocols makes you a valuable asset to any team. You possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of identity platforms, including user sessions and authentication pipelines. Your experience with cloud-based solutions and security best practices allows you to contribute effectively to the technical health and performance of the Auth0 platform. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and are committed to delivering solutions that prioritize user privacy and security.
Experience with the Auth0 platform or similar identity management solutions is a plus. Familiarity with modern development practices, including CI/CD and agile methodologies, will help you excel in this role. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Core Identity organization, you will be responsible for enhancing the authentication and authorization processes within the Auth0 platform. You will work closely with other engineers to design and implement features that improve the user experience while maintaining the highest security standards. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and designers to ensure that the solutions you build align with user needs and business goals.
You will take ownership of various components of the authentication pipeline, ensuring that they are efficient, reliable, and scalable. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and security of the platform, as you will be involved in optimizing existing systems and developing new features. You will also participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will engage in discussions about the future direction of the product, contributing your insights and ideas to help shape the roadmap.
