Handshake is seeking a Nuclear Technician - AI Trainer to contribute to an AI research project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for those with relevant field experience.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in the nuclear field, which equips you with the context needed to evaluate and train AI models effectively. Your background includes following operational policies and procedures that ensure environmental safety, conducting surveillance testing, and monitoring nuclear reactor equipment performance. You are comfortable working independently and can adapt to flexible hours, averaging between 5 to 20 hours per week. You are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the evolving landscape of AI in your field.
While no prior AI experience is necessary, familiarity with AI concepts and a willingness to engage with new technologies will enhance your contributions. You are open to developing prompts for AI models that reflect your expertise and evaluating their responses critically. Your ability to deliver clear, structured feedback will be crucial in strengthening the AI model's understanding of workplace tasks and language.
In this role, you will participate in a temporary AI research project that runs year-round, with opportunities opening periodically across various areas of expertise. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your professional experience to evaluate the outputs of AI models related to your field.
