Canonical is hiring a Project Manager for their Ubuntu Embedded Systems team to coordinate and complete complex customer-facing projects. You'll oversee project delivery and liaise between engineering teams and customers in Taipei.
You have a strong background in project management, ideally with experience in technology or software development. You understand the intricacies of managing large-scale projects and have a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget. As a Project Manager for Canonical's Devices business, you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of large, complex customer-facing projects. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet customer requirements. Your role will involve acting as the primary delivery liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and customers, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
You will manage the delivery of Ubuntu images on a wide variety of devices, including robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems. This high-profile position requires you to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, customers, and other partners/vendors. You will be expected to lead project meetings, provide updates on project status, and address any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will also include developing project plans, defining project scope, and ensuring that all deliverables are met on time. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that projects align with Canonical's strategic objectives. Additionally, you will be involved in risk management, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
