HomeLight is seeking an Escrow Assistant to support the escrow department by processing documentation and facilitating communication between parties. This entry-level role is based in Seattle and offers a hybrid work schedule.
You are detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to manage documentation and ensure accuracy in processing escrow files. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable communicating with various stakeholders to facilitate real estate transactions. You understand the importance of timely updates and are proactive in requesting necessary documents from all parties involved. You are eager to learn and grow within the real estate technology sector, contributing to a team that values innovation and efficiency.
Experience in real estate or a related field is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with escrow processes and documentation will help you excel in this role. A willingness to adapt and learn new systems and processes will be beneficial as you navigate the responsibilities of the position.
In this role, you will process and organize all necessary documentation to initiate new escrow files accurately. You will prepare escrow packages for both buyers and sellers, ensuring that all required documents are included and properly organized. You will initiate requests for HOA documents as required for escrow transactions and collaborate with the open order team to prioritize the processing of escrow orders. Additionally, you will facilitate the ordering of liens, judgments, and solar information to assess any potential encumbrances on the property. You will assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the escrow department and work closely with mortgage lenders to meet loan conditions and funding requirements. Constant communication with all parties will be essential to provide updates and request documents needed for the transaction.
