Amazon is seeking an Onsite Medical Representative to support workplace health and safety initiatives. You'll work closely with the WHS team to provide first aid and guidance on health and wellness. This role requires experience in medical support and safety operations.
You have experience in medical support, ideally in a workplace setting, and are familiar with health and safety regulations. You are comfortable assessing and administering first aid, and you understand the importance of advocating for health and wellness principles in a work environment. You enjoy interacting with employees and are committed to fostering a safe workplace culture. You are proactive in your approach and can work independently while being part of a larger team.
Experience with OSHA regulations and risk analysis is a plus. You may have a background in occupational health or a related field, which will help you in providing guidance on both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, contributing to the overall safety and wellbeing of your colleagues.
As an Onsite Medical Representative at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of associates. You will independently assess and administer first aid as needed, providing immediate care for injuries and illnesses. You will also participate in weekly safety committee meetings, collaborating with the WHS Site Manager and other specialists to address safety concerns and improve workplace practices. Your role will involve greeting new hires and providing them with essential health and safety information, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed from day one.
You will be responsible for referring associates to outside medical providers when necessary, ensuring they receive the appropriate care. Your involvement in case management review meetings will help track and manage workplace injuries, contributing to a culture of safety and prevention. You will assist with safety operations, supporting the WHS team in implementing best practices and resources to maintain a safe working environment.
