Google is seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist to leverage analytics in solving product and business problems within the Payments sector. You'll utilize Python, R, and SQL to provide insights and recommendations. This role requires 8 years of experience in data analytics.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, along with 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems. Your expertise includes performing statistical analysis and coding in languages such as Python, R, and SQL. If you hold a Master's degree, you can qualify with 5 years of experience. You have a strong background in product analytics, particularly within Payments, e-commerce, or financial services, and possess excellent cross-functional collaboration skills. You are adept at managing and organizing work sprints for yourself and your team, aligning with executive management to ensure clarity and communication. Your ability to lead in unstructured environments, combined with a bias for action and sharp attention to detail, sets you apart.

Desirable

A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with extensive experience in product analytics. You have a proven track record of influencing executive stakeholders through regular communication and collaboration. Your passion for data drives you to weave stories with meaningful insights, helping your partners make informed decisions. You advocate for best practices in data science and ensure the adoption of scalable methodologies across projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as an analytics expert for your partners, providing quantitative support and market understanding to help them make better decisions. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to define key metrics and support data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities will include performing statistical analyses, coding, and providing insights that drive product and business goals across the Payments organization. You will also be involved in the alignment of team OKRs and analytics strategy, ensuring they support broader objectives. Your role will require you to advocate for best practices in data science, ensuring that methodologies are efficient and scalable across various projects.
