Okta is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to create customer-centered technical content. You'll collaborate with engineers and product managers to produce clear and concise documentation. This role requires strong writing skills and a passion for technology.
You have extensive experience as a technical writer, ideally with a background in technology or software development. Your writing is clear, concise, and tailored to the needs of the audience, ensuring that complex concepts are easily understood. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers, product managers, and customer success teams to gather information and create relevant content. You are a lifelong learner, eager to understand new technologies and how they can be effectively communicated to users. Your attention to detail ensures that all documentation is publication-ready, and you take pride in delivering high-quality work that enhances the user experience.
Experience with identity and access management concepts is a plus, as is familiarity with tools like Markdown and Okta's platforms. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously. A background in software engineering or a related field will help you understand the technical aspects of the products you are documenting.
In this role, you will independently execute end-to-end documentation tasks, from writing and editing to ensuring that content is publication-ready. You will collaborate with a global network of engineers and product managers to understand real-world use cases and create practical technical content that guides customers in adopting and deploying Okta's solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing user guides, API documentation, and other technical materials that support customer success. You will also participate in content reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of documentation across the organization. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with Okta's products, making it essential to produce clear and helpful content.
