Overview

SoFi is hiring a Principal People Business Partner to align people strategies with business objectives for their Independent Risk Management & Compliance team. This role requires strategic influence and hands-on execution, working closely with senior leaders.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience as a People Business Partner, ideally with a focus on risk management and compliance. Your background includes serving as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, where you've successfully aligned people strategies with business objectives to foster high-performing teams. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and have a proven track record of implementing impactful people solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

You possess strong coaching skills, enabling you to guide leaders in developing their teams and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Your ability to diagnose organizational challenges and design tailored solutions sets you apart as a trusted partner within the business. You thrive in environments where you can influence change and drive engagement among employees.

Desirable

Experience in the financial services industry is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance and risk management frameworks. You are adept at navigating complex organizational structures and have a keen understanding of the dynamics involved in aligning people strategies with business goals. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate strategies effectively to diverse audiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Independent Risk Management & Compliance team, working directly with SoFi’s Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. You will lead the development and execution of people strategies that support the business's objectives, ensuring that teams are engaged and high-performing. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing organizational issues, designing impactful people solutions, and implementing initiatives that foster a culture of excellence.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders to shape the people strategy, providing insights and recommendations that drive organizational effectiveness. Your role will involve coaching leaders on best practices in talent management, performance evaluation, and employee engagement. You will also be responsible for analyzing data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of people initiatives.
