Affinitiv is seeking a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize their SQL Server environments. You'll work with SQL, Windows, and database management to ensure high performance and reliability. This role requires experience in database administration and performance tuning.
You have a strong background in SQL database administration, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing SQL Server environments. Your expertise includes installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances on Windows, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You are skilled in monitoring database performance and diagnosing issues, allowing you to implement effective solutions. You understand the importance of backup and recovery strategies, and you are familiar with high availability configurations. Your analytical mindset helps you optimize queries and indexes, enhancing overall database architecture. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, supporting both development and production databases.
Experience with cloud-based SQL solutions or familiarity with other database management systems would be a plus. Knowledge of performance tuning tools and techniques is also beneficial. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server instances within a secure datacenter. You will manage databases across development, staging, and production environments, performing routine maintenance tasks such as patching and upgrades. You will design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
