Overview

Carvana is seeking an Automotive Technician with at least 5 years of professional automotive repair experience. You'll perform extensive repairs, advanced vehicle diagnostics, and work on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles.

Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience, demonstrating a strong background in automotive mechanics. Your expertise includes performing extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as advanced vehicle diagnostics. You are skilled in repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues and have experience installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems. You are comfortable working on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles, showcasing your versatility in the automotive field.

You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, understanding the importance of delivering exceptional customer experiences. You are willing to work mandatory overtime when necessary to meet customer commitments, reflecting your dedication to the role and the company’s mission. You possess a valid driver’s license and can read, write, speak, and understand English, ensuring effective communication within the team and with customers.

Desirable

While not required, any additional certifications such as ASE would be a plus, as would experience with state-of-the-art tools and technology in automotive repair. You are open to continuous learning and development, especially if you are joining in an entry-level position where training programs are available to enhance your skills and pay.

What you'll do

As an Automotive Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive repairs and diagnostics. You will work on extensive repairs and heavy engine work, ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition for customers. Your role will involve diagnosing advanced vehicle electrical issues and addressing them effectively. You will also be tasked with installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems, which is crucial for maintaining vehicle performance and safety.

You will engage with a diverse range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, allowing you to apply your knowledge and skills across different automotive technologies. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, as you ensure that vehicles are repaired to the highest standards before they reach the customer.

In addition to technical skills, you will collaborate with other team members to maintain a high level of service and efficiency in the Inspection Center. You will be expected to adhere to safety protocols and company policies while delivering quality workmanship. Your contributions will help Carvana maintain its reputation as a leading used automotive retailer in the U.S.
