Formlabs is seeking a 3D Digital Manufacturing Technician to optimize and prepare parts for additive manufacturing. You'll work with various 3D printing technologies and slicing software. This role requires expertise in print setup and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in 3D printing technologies and digital manufacturing. You have experience in preparing and slicing CAD models for various 3D printing technologies, including FDM, SLA, and SLS. Your understanding of print setup, orientation strategies, and troubleshooting ensures high-quality output and efficient production workflows. You are familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and can identify potential design improvements to enhance printability. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with internal teams and external customers to achieve production goals.
Experience with various slicing software and a background in mechanical engineering or a related field would be beneficial. Familiarity with CAD software and a passion for innovation in manufacturing processes will set you apart.
In this role, you will prepare and slice CAD models for different 3D printing technologies, ensuring optimal print orientation and support structures. You will analyze and troubleshoot print setup issues, implementing effective solutions to enhance production efficiency. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with team members to streamline workflows and maintain high-quality standards in output.
