Overview

Waymo is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional compliance workstreams and manage project risks. You'll coordinate complex programs in the autonomous driving sector. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Who you are

You have a strong background in program management, ideally with experience in technology or automotive sectors. You excel at coordinating complex projects and ensuring alignment across multiple teams. Your proactive approach to risk management allows you to navigate challenges effectively, ensuring timely progress on project goals. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment and can adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced organization. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to facilitate discussions and drive outcomes across diverse teams. You understand the importance of compliance in technical projects and are committed to maintaining high standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Desirable

Experience in autonomous driving or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and risk management strategies will enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in engineering or technical disciplines can provide valuable insights into the projects you will manage.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Waymo, you will drive the day-to-day coordination and execution of complex, cross-functional compliance workstreams. You will ensure timely progress and alignment across different work groups, acting as a central point of communication. Your role will involve maintaining a high-level project status summary, which will be crucial for stakeholders to understand project health and risks. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and other teams to structure and drive work towards real-world deployments of the Waymo Driver. You will facilitate discussions to address challenges and ensure that all teams are aligned on project objectives. Your ability to manage dependencies and risks will be key to the success of the projects you oversee. You will report to a TPM Manager and collaborate with various functions to achieve project goals.
