You have a strong background in data science with a focus on financial applications — your experience includes working with large datasets and developing predictive models that drive decision-making in trading strategies. You are proficient in SQL and have programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or Java, allowing you to build robust data processing tools. Your intellectual curiosity drives you to explore new data sets and identify potential alpha signals that can enhance trading performance. You pay meticulous attention to detail and have a love for process, ensuring that data is clean and reliable for analysis. Strong oral and written communication skills enable you to effectively present your findings to portfolio managers and collaborate with team members.
Experience in the financial industry is preferred but not required — familiarity with intraday, tick, and order book data will be a plus. You possess strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning, which helps you adapt to the fast-evolving landscape of quantitative finance.
