Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Test Specialist for Environmental Testing of Electrical components for their Starlink project. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary engineers to support satellite hardware testing. This role requires expertise in mechanical and electrical disciplines.

You have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in testing and problem-solving. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the success of satellite hardware testing. Your ability to adapt quickly and learn in a fast-paced setting sets you apart. You are self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for contributing to groundbreaking projects like Starlink.

Desirable

Experience with environmental testing methodologies and equipment is a plus. Familiarity with satellite systems and hardware testing processes will enhance your candidacy. A proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing test setups is highly valued.

What you'll do

In this role, you will assemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware throughout various development phases. You will monitor and assess the performance of test assets and articles during qualification campaigns. Your responsibilities will include activating, evaluating, and maintaining space simulation test equipment, such as thermal vacuum and vibration systems. You will also be involved in the assembly and troubleshooting of custom test racks and automated equipment interfaces to enhance lab capabilities. Collaborating with engineers, you will plan and execute structural tests for both large and small-scale satellite components, ensuring they meet rigorous standards.
