Microsoft is seeking a Hardware Engineer to drive complex hardware initiatives within the Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering team. This role requires a strong background in NPI product development and strategic thinking.
You have a strong background in hardware engineering and technical program management, with experience in new product introduction (NPI) product development. You thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and business acumen, and you have a bias for action that drives results. Your ability to manage complex hardware initiatives is complemented by your understanding of cloud infrastructure and its foundational technologies. You are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of customers and partners worldwide.
Experience with Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure or similar environments is a plus. Familiarity with silicon hardware development processes and portfolio optimization is also desirable. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving complex hardware initiatives that support Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud mission. You will work closely with the SCHIE team to deliver core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s online businesses. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing portfolio optimization processes that enable effective management and delivery of silicon hardware development. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that new offerings are delivered on time, at scale, and with high quality. Your strategic thinking will help shape the direction of hardware initiatives, and you will play a key role in optimizing costs while maintaining high standards of performance.
