Job Title: AI Backend Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Location: Bangalore, India. Full Time - Office
Key Relationships: Marketing, Support, Engineering, Product.

Work Hours: European Time Zone.

Job Purpose: 

To build backend services that integrate LLMs, task-based AI agents, and smart workflows that assist in decision-making across our logistics platform.We are looking for a Python Developer with 6+ years of experience and a strong interest and background in building AI agents and autonomous systems.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python, integrating AI agent workflows
• You'll collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to push the boundaries of automation and user experience in eCommerce logistics.
• Build and fine-tune LLM-powered agents using frameworks like LangChain, Haystack, or Semantic Kernel
• Create APIs and backend services that interface with AI agents, recommendation engines, and user-facing components
• Collaborate on prompt engineering and fine-tuning tasks for LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-source models)
• Optimize performance, reliability, and observability of AI-driven services
• Work cross-functionally with data and product teams to translate ideas into intelligent agent behavior
• Ensure code quality and participate in peer reviews and agile ceremonies

Who you are?:

• 6+ years of backend development experience in Python
• At least 2+ years of experience in building LLM based AI solutions
• Familiarity building Autonomous AI Agents, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Strong understanding of Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django)
• Experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, etc.) and integrating them into applications
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agent-oriented libraries
• Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL), Docker, and Git workflows
• Ability to design scalable and modular systems for AI-driven applications
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and tools like Kafka, Redis, or Celery
• Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and MLOps best practices
• Experience with Vertex AI and google cloud console
• Knowledge of logistics, eCommerce, or supply chain automation
