You'll leverage your expertise in Digital Signal Processing and wireless protocols like 5G NR, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. This role requires strong software engineering skills and experience in developing wireless communication systems.
You have a strong foundation in Digital Signal Processing and are familiar with protocols such as 5G NR, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Your excellent software engineering skills enable you to develop and launch innovative products that enhance connectivity for millions of users. You are highly motivated and thrive in collaborative environments, engaging with vendors and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance wireless communication systems.
Your experience spans all layers of a wireless communications stack, including PHY and MAC layers, and you possess algorithm development skills that contribute to the success of your projects. You are passionate about shaping critical services that improve the safety and connectivity of Apple device users, and you enjoy tackling complex problems with creative solutions.
Experience with satellite communication systems or similar technologies would be a plus. Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools will help you integrate seamlessly into our team. You are eager to learn and adapt to new challenges, and you understand the importance of delivering best-in-class wireless communication solutions.
As a Wireless Communications Software Engineer at Apple, you will be part of the Satellite Connectivity Group, working on innovative solutions that enable connectivity when traditional cellular or Wi-Fi networks are unavailable. You will collaborate closely with a small team to design, develop, and implement software solutions that enhance the functionality of satellite communication services.
Your role will involve engaging with various stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers, to ensure the successful delivery of high-performance wireless systems. You will contribute to the development of algorithms and protocols that improve the efficiency and reliability of satellite connectivity for devices like the iPhone and Watch Ultra.
You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall software architecture, ensuring that the systems you develop are robust and scalable. Your work will directly impact the user experience, providing critical services such as Emergency SOS and Roadside assistance to Apple customers.
