What you'll do

As the Director of Detection Engineering & Threat Hunting at Huntress, you will oversee multiple sub-teams and serve as a trusted advisor to the Senior Director of Threat Detection and Response. Your primary mission will be to enhance the efficacy of detection engineering and threat hunting practices within the organization. You will be responsible for determining the structural and technological requirements necessary to maintain superior detection capabilities as the company scales.

You will lead initiatives to develop and implement advanced detection strategies, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of cybersecurity. This includes evaluating and integrating new technologies, managing budgets, and aligning your team's goals with the overall company strategy. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

Collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will work closely with other departments to ensure that detection engineering aligns with the company's mission and objectives. You will also be responsible for building relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance Huntress's cybersecurity offerings.

Huntress offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. We provide a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $220,000 to $240,000, plus bonuses and equity opportunities.
