Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to lead software development for pixel sensor intelligence. You'll work with C, C++, and Python to integrate various sensor modalities. This role requires 5+ years of experience in embedded software engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development using C or C++ and Python or Shell Scripts. Your background includes leading embedded software engineering programs of medium to large scale across multiple geographies. You have experience integrating and evaluating various sensor modalities such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and fingerprint sensors. You also possess 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and at least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. You have technical leadership experience and a solid understanding of computer architecture and Unix/OS internals, including scripting. Your familiarity with signal processing, microcontrollers, and digital protocols like GPIO, SPI, and I2C is a plus. You are known for your excellent creative thinking, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

You will design and develop efficient testing and verification methods, ensuring a high bar for the quality of deliverables to the end user.
