What you'll do

As a Mid to Senior Software Engineer on the Dispatch Response team, you will play a crucial role in building the technical foundation for Voltus's virtual power plants. You will be responsible for developing core services and APIs that manage a diverse portfolio of distributed energy resources in wholesale energy markets. Your work will involve interpreting real-time market and asset signals into actionable directives and operational insights.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to design and implement scalable and reliable systems — your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided by Voltus. You will engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the team.

You will work on integrating various technologies and systems, ensuring that the applications you develop are robust and maintainable. Your experience with cloud services will be essential as you deploy applications on AWS and utilize containerization tools like Docker to streamline development processes.
