SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician for the Falcon 9 project to assemble and integrate flight hardware. You'll work with mechanical and avionics systems in Hawthorne, CA. This role requires hands-on experience with hardware installation.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of experience with propulsion, avionics, or automotive hardware installation. You may also have a certificate from an accredited trade school or program. Your background includes hands-on experience with both large and small fragile assemblies, and you are comfortable using precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers. You can read and interpret blueprints and perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions. You are a collaborative team player who can work effectively with production engineers to develop and document activities, ensuring that all production services are performed on time, safely, and professionally.
As an Integration Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, integration, and build of flight hardware for the Falcon 9 rocket. This includes staging, setting up, assembling, testing, and installing flight hardware. You will perform hydro and pneumatic testing, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly. Your role will require you to use various mechanical tools without instruction, demonstrating your ability to work independently. You will collaborate closely with production engineers to develop and document activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to a productive work environment.
