DoorDash is hiring an Associate in Federal Affairs to shape public policy strategy and build relationships with federal stakeholders. This role requires strong advocacy skills and a commitment to community empowerment.
You are a motivated individual with a keen interest in public policy and advocacy. You have a foundational understanding of federal affairs and are eager to learn about the legislative processes that impact local economies. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders is one of your key strengths. You are committed to promoting equity, safety, and sustainability in your work, and you understand the importance of being a credible and ethical leader in the public policy space.
Experience or coursework related to public policy, government relations, or advocacy is a plus. Familiarity with the legislative process and an understanding of the issues facing local economies will help you excel in this role. In this role, you will support the Federal Affairs team at DoorDash by assisting with the development and execution of public policy strategies. You will engage with policymakers and stakeholders to advocate for legislation that benefits the DoorDash community, including Dashers and local business partners. Your responsibilities will include conducting policy research and analysis, helping to manage integrated issue campaigns, and fostering positive relationships with federal public policy stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Public Affairs, Communications, and Legal, to ensure a cohesive approach to advocacy efforts.
