You have a PhD in a technical field or equivalent industry experience, with a strong foundation in wireless technologies. Your programming skills are robust, and you have at least 1 year of experience in wireless systems. You excel in communication and collaboration, allowing you to effectively represent Apple in various standardization meetings. Your understanding of optimization and performance issues across OS software layers is excellent, and you are detail-oriented, focusing on aspects that matter to customers. You are inquisitive and passionate about tackling everyday problems in innovative ways.
As a Wireless Standardization Engineer, you will be responsible for representing Apple in standard bodies and driving the company's strategic interests. You will develop standards for wireless system radio interface L2/L3 protocols, network architecture, and interface protocols. Your role will involve participating in 3GPP RAN2/RAN3/SA2/CT1 meetings, where you will advocate for Apple's interests. You will also support various internal teams by bringing new ideas and defining new features that align with Apple's goals.
