You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 5+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.
You have over 5 years of closing experience, with a strong background in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1 million, managing an average deal size of $100,000 or more. Your ability to prospect effectively and build relationships is key to your success, as you maintain and develop relationship maps for your territory, including existing and aspirational contacts.
You possess a deep understanding of customer business needs and can negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by effectively communicating the value and ROI of Datadog's solutions. Resourcefulness is one of your strengths, allowing you to tackle challenges that may not have straightforward solutions. You have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency.
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process to close new business. You will maintain and build specific relationship maps for your territory, ensuring you have a comprehensive understanding of existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your focus will be on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, allowing you to deliver the appropriate Datadog solutions.
You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, emphasizing the value and ROI of Datadog's offerings. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be crucial. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges and have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
