Amazon is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and enhance data infrastructure for people analytics solutions. You'll work with AWS and various data technologies to develop scalable data pipelines. This role requires experience in data engineering and cloud technologies.
You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on building scalable data infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, allows you to design and implement robust data pipelines that support critical business reporting. You are proficient in Python and SQL, enabling you to develop automated data ingestion frameworks and curate data models effectively.
Your experience includes collaborating in cross-functional teams to drive projects and business initiatives, ensuring that data solutions align with organizational goals. You have a solid understanding of data architecture and can design data models organized by subject matter domains, facilitating efficient reporting capabilities.
You are familiar with tools like Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows and have experience with databases such as DynamoDB and PostgreSQL. Your ability to engineer systems that enable AI agents to make autonomous decisions is a key asset in your role.
Experience with Gen AI products and knowledge of machine learning concepts would be beneficial. Familiarity with real-time data processing and batch data pipelines is also a plus, as it enhances your capability to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
In this role, you will be instrumental in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the data infrastructure that powers Amazon's people analytics solutions. You will develop automated and scalable data ingestion frameworks that enhance curated data models used in business-critical reporting. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive projects that deliver impactful results.
You will design and build robust data pipelines that feed knowledge bases for Gen AI products, ensuring that the data is accurate and readily available for analysis. Your responsibilities will include architecting data models organized by subject matter domains, which will enable efficient reporting capabilities across the organization.
You will build and deploy both batch and real-time data pipelines using AWS as the cloud platform, running ETL jobs that fetch internal and external datasets from various data sources. Your work will contribute to the foundation for autonomous, intelligent HR systems that scale across one of the world's largest organizations.
