Senior Engineer - Front End

Who you are

You are an experienced Frontend Engineer with a strong background in building engaging web applications. You have a deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, and enjoy creating user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience. Your experience includes working in Agile teams, where collaboration and communication are key to delivering high-quality products. You are familiar with microservices architecture and have experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes. You are comfortable working with cloud services, particularly AWS, and have a solid understanding of backend technologies, including Python and Java. You are passionate about technology and continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge.

Desirable

Experience with additional programming languages such as Scala, C++, or Swift is a plus. Familiarity with data management tools like Redis and experience in monitoring and logging with Prometheus and Grafana will set you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that have a global impact.

What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on the development of what3words' map site and account management system, ensuring that users have a seamless experience when interacting with our platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create features that meet user needs and drive engagement. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and participating in design discussions to improve the overall architecture of our applications. You will also be involved in testing and debugging to ensure high performance and reliability of our web applications.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse tech stack, including React, Docker, and AWS, and will be encouraged to explore new technologies that can enhance our product offerings. As part of a collaborative team, you will share your knowledge and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
