Flyr is seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to contribute to a modern, cloud-native SaaS platform for the aviation industry. You'll work with Go to build scalable backend services that enhance airline operations and customer experiences. This role requires strong backend engineering experience.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You understand the intricacies of service design and deployment, and you have a track record of debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your expertise in Go is complemented by a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to modern SaaS platforms.
You thrive in environments that offer technical autonomy and value your input on architecture and design decisions. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that your contributions align with both technical and business goals. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a key asset.
You are passionate about the travel industry and understand the unique challenges it faces. You are motivated by the opportunity to innovate and improve the e-commerce experience for travelers. You are also open to mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP would be a plus, as would familiarity with microservices architecture. You may also have experience in the aviation industry or related fields, which would enhance your understanding of the specific challenges faced by airline customers.
In this role, you will join one of several teams focused on critical domains of the Offer & Order platform. You will be responsible for developing scalable backend services that support airline operations and enhance customer experiences. Your work will directly impact how airline customers purchase flights, seats, hotels, and other ancillary services, all within a unified payment transaction.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features that meet user needs. Your contributions will include designing APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring the reliability and performance of the services you build. You will also participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and helping to maintain high coding standards across the team.
As part of a hybrid team, you will have the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your projects and to propose innovative solutions that drive the platform forward.
Flyr offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a real impact on the travel industry. We provide competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth. Our culture values collaboration, innovation, and the freedom to explore new ideas. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products.
