Lyft is seeking a Data Curation Policy Lead to enhance data curation operations for mapping and other teams. You'll collaborate with engineering and product teams to define policies and improve processes. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
You have a strong background in data operations and policy development, ideally with experience in managing curation projects. You enjoy solving complex problems and have a knack for improving processes to enhance team efficiency. Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to innovate and adapt workflows to meet project requirements. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality documentation that serves as the single source of truth for project execution. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with team leaders and vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. You are also comfortable conducting regular analyses and reviews to ensure consistency and quality in documentation.
Experience in the mapping or transportation industry would be a plus, as well as familiarity with data quality standards and best practices in data curation. A background in training development or instructional design can also enhance your ability to collaborate with the Training Lead to create effective training materials.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation that outlines policies, processes, and quality workflows for curation projects. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to formulate and address policy questions, iterating on existing policies to enhance their effectiveness. Your role will involve managing pilot curation projects and launching new initiatives in cooperation with team leaders, ensuring that all team members understand and comply with established procedures. You will conduct regular analyses and monitoring of existing documentation, making necessary adjustments to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Training Lead to develop training materials that support team members in understanding and executing their roles effectively.
