Experience with PostgreSQL and familiarity with distributed SQL databases is a plus. What you'll do

As the Senior Director of Engineering at Yugabyte, you will lead the architecture and development of YugabyteDB, our PostgreSQL-compatible distributed database. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy for the core database team, ensuring that we meet the needs of enterprises building cloud-native applications. You will collaborate closely with product management and other engineering teams to define the roadmap and prioritize features that align with market demands. Your role will involve overseeing the development process, from design to deployment, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the team is equipped to deliver high-performance solutions.

You will also play a key role in recruiting and building a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will mentor and guide engineers, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers. Additionally, you will represent Yugabyte at industry events and conferences, sharing insights and promoting our mission to revolutionize the database landscape.
