As a software developer in this role, you will have the opportunity to design and lead the development of tooling which improves on-time package delivery rates and expand efficient disruption management mechanisms between multiple modes of transport. You will be an integral part of a passionate and creative team that encourages experimentation and innovation on behalf of our customers. You will play an active role in building quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team, owning design documents, and leading the productionalization of these tools. We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer with a strong technical background, customer obsession and bias for action with a track record of leading and delivering robust solutions quickly. Strong judgment and communication skills, long-term technical vision, and continuous focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for success in this role. You will be expected to be proficient technically, mentor and grow junior developers, encourage software development best practices, and iterate quickly.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
