Data Engineer (Experiencia en SAP)

Who you are

You have over 2 years of experience in data engineering, specifically in ETL processes, where you've been involved in the analysis, design, development, and optimization of data solutions. Your expertise includes working with SAP BW and SAP Data Services, allowing you to effectively support data integration and transformation tasks. You are proficient in SQL, capable of structuring, optimizing, and tuning queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Additionally, you have experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Shell Script, or PowerShell, which you use to automate tasks and enhance data workflows.

You possess a solid understanding of data architectures in SAP environments, including BW/4HANA and Data Warehouse Cloud. This knowledge enables you to analyze and resolve issues related to data loading and transformation processes. You are familiar with best practices in data governance, security, and quality, ensuring that the data solutions you develop meet high standards. Your ability to document and version control your work is essential for maintaining clarity and consistency in data projects.

Desirable

While not mandatory, familiarity with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) would be a plus, as it complements your existing skill set and enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive data solutions. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

What you'll do

In your role as a Data Engineer at NEORIS, you will provide support in the analysis, design, construction, testing, and production deployment of data solutions within the SAP ecosystem. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL processes that facilitate data integration between SAP and other platforms, including databases, cloud services, APIs, and files. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that data solutions align with business needs and technical requirements.

You will analyze data requirements and design efficient data models that support reporting and analytics initiatives. Your expertise in SQL will be crucial as you optimize queries and ensure that data retrieval processes are efficient and reliable. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving incidents related to data loading and transformation, ensuring that data flows smoothly through the system.

As part of your responsibilities, you will document your work thoroughly, maintaining clear records of data processes and changes. This documentation will be essential for future reference and for onboarding new team members. You will also participate in version control practices to manage changes in data solutions effectively.
