GoDaddy is hiring a Software Engineer to enhance production data platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You'll work with Java and the Spring ecosystem, along with cloud technologies like AWS. This position requires 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
You have 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role, building large-scale distributed applications or solutions. Your background includes at least 1 year of cloud computing experience, with AWS being a significant advantage. You are proficient in Java and have a strong focus on code quality and high development standards. You are familiar with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud, and you have experience working in agile teams. Your problem-solving skills are strong, and you are willing to adopt test-driven development techniques. You communicate efficiently and work collaboratively in a team environment, and you have good English skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with additional cloud platforms or technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with other programming languages or frameworks that complement your Java skills. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, which will help you thrive in this role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance the architecture of the Unified Data Publishing (UDP) and Real Time Finance (RTF) platforms, which are designed for zero message loss, fault tolerance, and high availability. You will collaborate with other specialists, product managers, architects, and operations teams both within and outside the eCommerce group. Your contributions will involve proposing innovative ideas and solutions, thinking creatively to solve complex problems, and ensuring the platforms meet high standards of performance and reliability. You will work in a scrum team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to continuously improve the development process. Your role will also include code reviews and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
