You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 10 years of experience architecting networking ASICs from specification to production, you have a deep understanding of Register-Transfer Level (RTL) for ASIC subsystems. Your experience includes cross-functional engagement in micro-architecture, design, verification, logic synthesis, and timing closure. You have worked closely with software teams to optimize the hardware/software interface, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Your expertise extends to design networking principles, including Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) and packet processing, with a focus on low latency, high throughput, security, and reliability. You are well-versed in Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Internet Protocol (IP), Ethernet, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIE), and Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), including Network on Chip (NoC) principles and protocols such as AXI, ACE, and CHI. You have a solid understanding of packet classification, processing, queuing, scheduling, switching, routing, traffic conditioning, and telemetry, which allows you to design robust networking solutions.
In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences and delivering unparalleled performance. Your responsibilities will include defining hardware/software interfaces and writing micro-architecture and design specifications. You will define efficient micro-architecture and block partitioning/interfaces and flows, collaborating with software, verification, and physical design stakeholders to ensure the designs are complete, correct, and performant.
You will engage in defining the architecture of networking switches, endpoints, and hardware offloads, ensuring that your designs meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your role will require you to work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve project goals. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
