Google is seeking a Software Engineer for Global Network Core Development to design and develop high-availability networking infrastructure. You'll work with C++, Java, and Go, focusing on complex distributed systems. This role requires 2+ years of software development experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. You are proficient in coding with C++, Java, or Go, and have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Your experience extends to networking technologies and concepts, particularly Software Defined Networking (SDN), and you possess a keen understanding of Internet routing technologies and router/switch telemetry. You are skilled at debugging complex distributed software systems and are eager to tackle new challenges across the full stack.
A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields is preferred, along with additional experience in large-scale system design and distributed computing. Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies and a passion for innovation in networking solutions will set you apart.
