Block is seeking a Lead Sales Manager for their Outbound Sales Development team to drive pipeline generation and oversee a team of Business Development Representatives. You'll focus on executing high-quality outbound prospecting and improving conversion rates.
You have a proven track record in sales management, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams focused on outbound sales development. You excel in creating high-performance cultures and have a deep understanding of pipeline generation strategies. Your leadership style is characterized by speed, intensity, and precision, and you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can shape strategies and drive results. You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to identify funnel gaps and implement effective solutions to improve conversion rates. You are a collaborative partner, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Sales Operations to ensure alignment and effectiveness in outbound efforts. You are passionate about coaching and developing your team, helping them refine their skills in messaging, sequencing, and objection handling.
Experience in the fintech industry or with integrated payment solutions is a plus. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms will enhance your ability to drive performance and results.
As the Manager of Outbound Sales Development, you will own the outbound engine, defining and driving the strategy for pipeline generation. You will set ambitious pipeline targets and ensure your team consistently meets or exceeds these goals. Your role will involve reviewing and refining cold calls, emails, and outreach cadences to enhance the quality of first interactions with prospects. You will analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that boost meeting quality and conversion rates. Additionally, you will train your team to effectively position Square’s integrated ecosystem, ensuring they can communicate its value proposition clearly and compellingly. You will foster a culture of accountability and high performance, setting the tone for your team’s success and driving the overall effectiveness of the outbound sales strategy.
