SpaceX is hiring a Leaching Technician for the Heat Shield team to perform acid leaching operations and ensure the functionality of systems supporting fiber leaching. This role requires hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

As a Leaching Technician on the Heat Shield team, you will be responsible for performing acid leaching operations, which involves loading raw fiber into leaching lines using a conveyor system, mixing tanks, pumps, and valves. You will also be involved in rinsing leached fiber and packaging it in a robot-controlled packaging cell. Your role will require you to operate and maintain various systems, including the Mechanical Vapor Recompression System and the Neutralization system, ensuring that all associated systems are functioning properly to support the fiber leaching process. You will follow established manufacturing procedures to operate and maintain assets used in the coatings manufacturing process, such as the Turbo Paddle Drag Dryer system and Ball mills. Your work will contribute to the development of heat shields that protect SpaceX's next-generation rockets and spacecraft during atmospheric entry.
