You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that can handle high traffic and complex transactions. Your expertise in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, or C++ allows you to tackle unique engineering challenges effectively. You understand the importance of code health, testing, and maintainability, and you actively drive the adoption of best practices within your team. Your experience includes mentoring junior engineers, guiding them on technical designs and coding best practices, which fosters a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
You are well-versed in designing scalable and secure systems, especially in contexts where accuracy is paramount, such as money-movement systems. Your ability to collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams ensures that new product ideas are implemented with a focus on scalability and user experience. You thrive in environments that require you to interface with various stakeholders and contribute to the technical design choices that shape the products you work on.
Experience with high-concurrency systems and handling massive spikes in traffic during peak seasons is a plus.
