Senior Python Engineer, Customer Value Track

Who you are

You are a Senior Python Engineer with a strong background in backend development, particularly in Python and Django. You have experience working in collaborative environments and are adaptable to changing requirements. Your ability to write clean, testable, and production-ready code is essential, as is your understanding of non-functional requirements like scalability and performance. You thrive in a team setting, working closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to create solutions that positively impact customers.

You have a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture and are comfortable dealing with both legacy code and modern frameworks. Your experience with AsyncIO frameworks and libraries, as well as Django-based services, allows you to contribute effectively to the team. You are also familiar with Java services, particularly those built with Spring Boot, and understand the importance of using tools like Gradle for building applications.

Your knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Kubernetes, enables you to provision and deploy workloads efficiently. You are proactive in identifying gaps in processes and documentation, and you strive to improve internal workflows to enhance team productivity. You are driven by the goal of unlocking new markets and bringing value to customers through innovative solutions.

Desirable

Experience with Celery workloads is a plus, as it complements your Python expertise. Familiarity with quality metrics and the ability to define targets for team deliverables will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning and adapting to new technologies as needed, ensuring that you remain at the forefront of backend engineering practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, product designers, and analysts to design and deliver complete end-to-end solutions. You will follow features through their entire lifecycle, from problem formulation to solution delivery, ensuring that all aspects of the project are addressed. Your focus will be on writing clean, self-explanatory code that meets production standards and adheres to non-functional requirements.

You will utilize quality metrics to identify gaps in your team's deliverables and define targets to improve performance. Your contributions will directly impact the Customer Value Track's ability to expand product-market fit and drive new monthly recurring revenue (MRR). You will also play a key role in improving internal processes and documentation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
