SpaceX is hiring an Operations Engineer for the Starshield program to lead cross-functional teams in optimizing production processes and strategic planning. You'll apply principles of operations engineering and data science to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
You have a background in operations engineering, operations research, or industrial engineering, with experience in data science principles. You are capable of leading cross-functional teams and have a strong analytical mindset to tackle complex optimization and simulation problems. You possess the ability to conduct thorough problem analysis and guide strategic decisions effectively. Your experience includes developing tools for analyzing production processes and supply chain operations, which helps in making informed decisions. You are an emerging leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and can identify operational challenges while determining root causes and developing appropriate solutions.
Experience with complex problem analysis and optimization techniques is a plus. Familiarity with national defense milestones and the aerospace industry would be beneficial. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
As an Operations Engineer for the Starshield program, you will develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and production processes, guiding decisions that impact national defense milestones. You will work closely with your team to manage strategies that mitigate future launch risks and seize opportunities for improvement in quality, output, safety, and cost. Your role will involve developing process flow models to analyze production system behavior and synchronize output with other elements of the Starshield program. You will also be responsible for identifying operational challenges within the organization, determining root causes, and developing appropriate solutions. Tracking key performance measures will be a critical part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the team meets its objectives and aligns with the overall mission of SpaceX.
