We are seeking a customer oriented Battery Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader within our Operations Services Team. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels around the critical infrastructure in Data Center Engineering Operations. The Battery Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all UPS batteries within the data center space. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% up-time.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of data center critical UPS battery preventative maintenance, Nondestructive Testing, and ATS programs.
- Act as an ambassador of safety and security ensuring the highest level of team compliance with our safe, secure culture.
- Ensure all work performed within the data center is completed to the highest standard of quality eliminating impact to internal/external customers.
- Manage teams of Service Technicians in all facets of their responsibilities and career development.
- Create and maintain battery maintenance schedules, and liaise with the maintenance scheduling team ensuring 100% battery maintenance completion and compliance.
- Create and maintain Nondestructive testing maintenance schedules, and liaise with the maintenance scheduling team ensuring 100% maintenance completion and compliance.
- Coordinate End of Life replacement schedules for Batteries and ATS's.
- Manage ATS team projects, repairs, and emergency support request.
- Engage in improvement projects working with a variety of support teams and drive them from conception to completion.
- Manage team budget and expenditures.
- Actively involved in defining contract scopes and works with contracts partner team ensuring highest quality outcome in support of our customer.
- Manage multiple competing projects across multiple sites simultaneously.
- Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management on a routine basis.
- Cross functional services team support.



- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 4+ years working in data centers or critical environments.
- 4+ years in a management or supervisory position.
- Understanding of data center electrical infrastructure in support of UPSs and battery maintenance and non-destructive testing methods
- Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Strong aptitude for trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Ability to follow accurate and complete support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking solutions.
- Excellent understanding of data center electrical infrastructure in support of UPSs and battery maintenance including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, and PDU units.
- Advanced electrical certifications or Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
