Senior Software Engineer - Core OS / Windows

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing operating systems or core software components. Your background includes a strong understanding of networking principles and their application in virtualized environments. You are comfortable working with Windows and have experience with Linux systems, particularly in the context of the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). You possess the ability to learn quickly and lead others in technical discussions, fostering a collaborative environment.

Your expertise extends to networking for virtual machines, including software network switching and routing network packet frames to VM instances. You understand the capabilities provided by advanced server devices and how they interact with virtual machines. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for building high-quality, efficient systems software that meets the demands of modern computing.

Desirable

Experience with Azure or cloud computing environments is a plus, as is familiarity with the challenges of building scalable systems. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and enjoy tackling complex engineering challenges. What you'll do
