Databricks is seeking a Named Hunter Account Executive to drive sales to high-growth digital native and mid cap companies. You'll leverage a solution-based approach to selling and utilize Salesforce for tracking customer details. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in engaging with high-growth, venture-backed companies. Your experience allows you to compress decision cycles effectively, demonstrating value to customers quickly. You are comfortable navigating between technical stakeholders and business buyers, ensuring that you connect customer challenges to business value throughout the sales cycle. You thrive in a solution-based selling environment and are passionate about understanding products in-depth to communicate their value effectively.
You are adept at developing strategies to identify and engage all buying centers within your accounts. Your analytical skills enable you to assess accounts thoroughly and map whitespace opportunities to maximize impact. You have experience using Salesforce to track customer details, including projects, purchase time frames, and forecasting, ensuring that you maintain a clear overview of your sales pipeline.
You are motivated by the challenge of hunting for new accounts and are always on the lookout for new opportunities. Your ability to identify quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles sets you apart. You understand the importance of building value with all stakeholders involved in the sales process, ensuring that you create lasting relationships that drive success.
Experience in selling data and AI solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with the digital native and mid cap market segments. You may also have a background in technology sales, which enhances your ability to communicate effectively with technical audiences.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Emerging Enterprise Sales and focus on hunting net new accounts. You will assess your accounts and develop a strategy to engage all buying centers, using a solution-based approach to create value for new logo accounts. You will be responsible for identifying and closing quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles. Your role will involve tracking all customer details in Salesforce, ensuring that you have a comprehensive understanding of each account's needs and timelines.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of your sales efforts, orchestrating collaboration to drive results. Your ability to switch between technical and business personas will be crucial as you connect customer challenges to business value throughout the sales cycle. You will also be expected to map whitespace opportunities across your defined territory, identifying the most viable use cases in each account to maximize Databricks' impact.
