Amazon Photos is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Storytelling team. About the team
The storytelling team curates joyful photographic customer moments and weaves them into majestic short video(s) to help them relive their experiences. We use an assortment of Machine Learning techniques to bring the best curated photos to the fore, from which we vend these photo collections to our highly performance apps in Web, iOS, Android and FireTV. We operate at large scales using best of breed backend services and we move fast to delight our customers. We also understand and apply concepts such as Microservice architecture, performance optimization, caching and weblab experimentation to improve the efficiency of vending Amazon photos collections. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
