Astranis is hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer for their Summer 2026 program. You'll work on advanced satellite projects, applying skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This role is designed for recent graduates or students nearing graduation.
You are a recent graduate or will soon graduate with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. You have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and are eager to apply your knowledge to real-world challenges. Your experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks, allows you to create detailed designs and models. You are a problem solver who enjoys tackling complex engineering challenges and are excited about the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to space exploration. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn from experienced engineers while contributing your unique perspective to the team.
Experience with satellite systems or aerospace engineering is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with materials science and manufacturing processes will enhance your contributions to the team. A passion for space technology and a desire to innovate in the aerospace sector will set you apart.
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer at Astranis, you will work closely with senior engineers on the design and testing of satellite hardware.
