Guidepoint is seeking a Vice President of Client Growth to lead business development efforts and expand client relationships. This role requires 5-7 years of experience in sales or business development and is based in New York City with hybrid work options.
You have 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, banking, business consulting, or account management — you've successfully navigated complex client relationships and understand how to drive growth in subscription-based services. You possess a strategic mindset and are adept at identifying opportunities within existing client firms, particularly in the financial sector, such as hedge funds and private equity. Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients is a key strength, allowing you to promote services that enhance their business decisions.
You are proactive in monitoring client usage and can leverage insights to promote subscriptions effectively — you understand the importance of onboarding new users and ensuring they derive maximum value from their partnership with Guidepoint. Your experience includes conducting outbound prospecting to generate leads and following up on warm leads, demonstrating your commitment to achieving designated growth targets. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with management and client service teams to collect feedback and refine offerings.
Experience in the institutional sales space is a plus, as is familiarity with subscription-based research services. You are comfortable working in a hybrid setting, balancing time between the office and remote work, and you are motivated by the challenge of meeting growth targets through strategic client partnerships.
In this role, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of Guidepoint’s service offerings and the competitive landscape — your primary focus will be on expanding the user base within existing client firms. You will partner with management to create tailored strategies that enhance client engagement and subscription usage. Monitoring client interactions and usage patterns will be crucial, as you will proactively promote Guidepoint’s subscriptions to maximize their value.
You will conduct outbound prospecting to generate leads within existing clients, ensuring that you follow up on warm leads to convert them into active users. Your strategic approach will be essential in meeting growth targets, as you will employ thoughtful processes designed to add value to clients’ operations. Onboarding new users effectively will be part of your responsibilities, and you will work closely with the client service team to gather feedback on ongoing projects and advisor interactions.
Guidepoint offers a competitive base salary of $120,000, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, allowing for flexibility in your work location while still being part of a dynamic team in New York City.
